报告题目：A User Centric andLayered Approach to Mobile Security
报 告 人：Prof. Deng Huijie（Robert Deng）
报告摘要：Mobile computing hasbecome a fundamental feature in the lives of billions of people, who havedeveloped an unprecedented reliance on mobile systems and applications comparedto any previous computing technology. With the trend of bring your own device, smart phones and other portable devices are increasingly used to access andstore sensitive corporate information as well. However, not only mobile systemsand applications present a unique set of risks to personal privacy, they alsopose new security challenges to enterprise information systems. This talk willprovide an overview of the research projects at the Secure Mobile Centre,Singapore Management University, from techniques to fortifying mobile platformswith a user centric trust anchor, mobile malware analysis, detection andcontainment, secure and usable user authentication, to scalable and efficientaccess control of encrypted data in the cloud for mobile users whose devicesare constrained in both power and computation capabilities. A common feature ofall the projects is their user centric approach which takes usercharacteristics into consideration and aims to strike a balance betweensecurity and usability.
